The Star Talent Pool is an online application system and management tool which is being used by Star Rapid Limited (“Star Rapid”).
The access and usage of the Star Talent Pool are subject to the following Terms and Conditions (“Terms & Conditions”).
The Star Talent Pool provides job candidates an application form for completion, in which the candidate’s personal data and/or information as provided and registered with Star Rapid would be used for job matching for any job vacancies which is or may be available or in future at Star Rapid. By registration, the candidate will become the registrant of the Star Talent Pool and Star Rapid’s authorized personnel may access the candidate’s uploaded profile and review it and subsequently contact the candidate directly for suitable position at Star Rapid.
The use of the Star Talent Pool is free of charge. No job guarantee would be given by using or registering or uploading the candidate’s personal data and/or information to the Star Talent Pool.
By using the Talent Pool, the candidate may provide his/her personal information and/or data for job application for any positions currently available or in future arise. The candidate is solely responsible for the accuracy of the information and/or personal data as provided.
By using Star Talent Pool or registering and/or uploading the candidate’s personal data and/or information, the candidate agrees and confirms that:
• The candidate has reached at least age of 18;
• The candidate is eligible and possesses the legal authority to enter legal contract;
• The Star Talent Pool can only be used by the candidate for the purpose of job application only ;
• All information and/or personal data as uploaded, submitted and/or provided by the candidate should be true, accurate, complete, up-to-date and without containing any untrue statements or records, and can be used by Star Rapid for recruitment purpose;
• The use of the Star Talent Pool by the candidate would be subject to the Terms & Conditions as provided and/or amended from time to time by Star Rapid.
Any use of the Star Talent Pool that is immoral, violates, infringes the rights of others, or violates any laws is strictly prohibited. Star Rapid reserves the right at its sole discretion to deny or refuse any access by the candidate to the Star Talent Pool at any time for any reason, including, but not limited to, or take out subsequent legal actions for such violation of any Terms & Conditions.
Star Rapid is entitled to close down the Star Talent Pool at any time without any compensation or reimbursement. Star Rapid may inform the candidates of the Talent Pool via email for such closure and any personal data and/or information stored at the Talent Pool system shall be removed and permanently deleted subsequently. Star Rapid shall not keep any records of such data or information and such data or information would not be retrieved once the Star Talent Pool is closed or deleted. Star Rapid shall not be liable for such deletion or removal in any event.
The candidate may unsubscribe the Star Talent Pool any time by sending a request email to the Star Talent Pool at email@example.com. The candidate’s information and personal data will be securely and permanently deleted from the Star Talent Pool and a subsequent confirmation email will be sent to the candidate’s registered email for such deletion in due course.
Star Rapid shall not be responsible for any liability incurred by the use of the candidate in any event. Any liability incurred because of unauthorized or improper use by the candidate shall be borne by the candidate solely at his/her own costs and the candidate shall keep Star Rapid indemnified all the time.
Star Rapid notices the importance of privacy protection.
By registering, Star Rapid will keep the candidate’s personal data/information for 24 months for Unsolicited Applications from the date of successful registration. After 24 months, Star Rapid will remove the records and/or registration of the candidate from the Star Talent Pool and securely and permanently delete such personal data and information.
If the candidate applies for a particular position with Star Rapid, the candidate’s personal data and/or information shall be kept for 6 months after the end of the application process, i.e. when and after the candidate are officially informed of the result of the application. After such notification, the candidate’s personal data and information will be securely and permanently deleted from the Star Talent Pool.
By notifying Star Rapid in writing via email to firstname.lastname@example.org, the candidate’s personal data/information will be permanently deleted at his/her request.

By registering Star Talent Pool, marketing materials such as newsletter, updated relevant job vacancies available at Star Rapid or its authorized agents/subsidiaries will be automatically sent to the candidate’s registered email account.
The candidate may unsubscribe such marketing materials by writing an email with such request to email@example.com.
The Terms & Conditions may change from time to time at the sole discretion of Star Rapid. Should there be any change(s) or amendments, an email notification will be sent to all the candidates with the Star Talent Pool.
The Terms & Conditions shall be governed by and constructed in accordance with the laws of Hong Kong. Each of the parties hereby submits to the exclusive jurisdiction of the Hong Kong courts.
The purpose for collecting your personal data/information (i.e. data and/or any information about you or which can be used to ascertain your identity and ability) is to assess your suitability for a job position at Star Rapid.
Any personal data and/or information we collected from you will only be used for the purpose of recruitment so as to assess your suitability for the position concerned at Star Rapid. If necessary, we may contact you by using your contact details given to us for further interview and related arrangement. We may also send you, by way of email, marketing materials which are related to your job of interest to keep you up-to-date with what Star Rapid is doing.
Please note that your personal data and/or information may also be used to fulfill legal or regulatory requirements, if there is any.
However, we will not share your personal data and/or information with any third party for marketing purposes without obtaining your written consent.
You are not obliged to supply us with your personal data and/or information but failure to supply the requested data and/or information may affect your application.
We will collect your personal data and/or information such as name, nationality and/or contact details from you. We will also collect other information such as previous working experience, education background and how you found out about us. We may also collect public available data and/or information from LinkedIn or similar websites which are available in public for reference. Our recruitment team and hiring managers may perform searches for and/or access such data and/or information when necessary.
We may also obtain your personal data and/or information from any third parties who provide recruitment/hunting services to Star Rapid or to you, provided that you apply through a third-party staffing or recruiting firm/companies so that we may receive such personal data/information including but not limited to your working experience and/or qualifications from such firms/companies. We may also use digital platforms hosted by third parties who facilitate recorded video interviews, written questions and/or answers and skills tests that we administer and evaluate.
We may also receive personal data and/or information from referees that you authorise us to contact. Where permitted or otherwise authorised by applicable laws, such personal data and/or information received from third parties may include the results of your background checks and referencing.
We may also obtain relevant personal data and/or information from the public domains, including but not limited to any social networking websites and/or media websites when necessary or appropriate.
We may ask you to attend our assessments, tests, projects or to complete our occupational personality profile questionnaires, attend an interview or participate all or any of the above for our assessment purpose.
If you apply for the Star Talent Pool, we may keep your personal data and/or information for 24 months for Unsolicited Applications from the date of your registration. After 24 months, we will remove your records from our Star Talent Pool and securely and permanently delete all of your personal data and information.
If you apply for a particular position in Star Rapid, we may retain your personal data and/or information for 6 months after the end of the application process, i.e. when you are informed of the result of the application. After our notification, your personal data and information will be securely and permanently deleted from the Star Talent Pool.
Your personal data/information will generally be kept confidential and will not be disclosed to any other person without your consent. However, your personal data/information may be disclosed to any officer with authority where we are required to do so by law.
We have installed security systems to ensure your personal data/information is not subject to unauthorised access.
You are entitled to check whether we hold data/information about you and access to that data/information. If any of this data/information is incorrect or inaccurate, you may correct or update them. Requests for access to or to correct personal data/information should be sent to Star Rapid in writing to firstname.lastname@example.org. We reserve our right to charge for a reasonable fee for processing any data/information access or correction requests.
